Are there any outdoor activities in the area?
Colmar is known for the beauty of its old districts, as well as for its magnificent natural surroundings: we are in the middle of the Alsace Plain, its Wine Route and at the foot of the Vosges Mountains.
Along the Lauch river, the Little Venice of Colmar can be visited on foot, by bike or by boat. Opt for a bike ride along the Wine Route! This will be the perfect opportunity to play sports while discovering an emblematic place of the city. With its 170 kilometers long, the Wine Route is very pleasant to discover by bike (what could be more fun than pedaling happily, with your nose in the wind, while smelling the delicious scent of the vines?)
From the gardens to the numerous parks, passing by the middle mountains, Colmar is also a dream destination for hiking enthusiasts.
Adjacent on one side to the wine-growing foothills of the Upper Rhine and on the other side to the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, you can hike for a few hours to discover the regional heritage, the hillsides and the vineyards with panoramic views stretching as far as the eye can see and explore the natural riches of the Vosges mountains.
Is it possible to park nearby?
If you are driving, you can park freely in the large parking lot in front of the house (you are lucky, it is one of the only parking spaces close to the center still free!)
If you choose a blue zone parking space (see markings on the ground), do not forget to affix a standard European parking disc.) We can lend you one!
Are you located in Little Venice?
No, our location is quite central but off the beaten track of the old town, easy to reach by foot (10/15 minutes walk). At our location, it’s easier to take the shuttle to the airport and visit nearby cities by train or bus, without having to park or carry all your luggage to the center. Moreover, you will be able to easily access the Old Colmar and its animations while strolling.
