Terms and Conditions of Sale


The reservation becomes effective after receiving your deposit (30% of the price of the stay). The balance will be requested 15 days before the start of your stay. an email will be sent in due course indicating how to proceed (remember to check your spam folder if the email does not reach you). If the balance is not paid by the agreed date, the stay is considered as cancelled. In this case, the appartment will be offered for rent again and no refund will be made. For stays booked less than 14 days before the arrival date, the total amount of the stay is due at the time of booking.

Security deposit :

Is paid when the keys are handed over and its amount is 300€.

The little extras:

Optional extras (breakfast, city bikes) must be ordered 48 hours in advance.

Compulsory tourist tax :

Collected by the community of Colmar. As our apartments are classified 4*, in 2022 the tourist tax is set at €2.42 per night per person.

Cancellation :

Insurance is highly recommended. Their agreement guarantees reimbursement in case of COVID 19 illness or if you are a contact case.

All cancellations must be notified to the owner by registered letter or email with return receipt addressed to Maison 1934.

If the cancellation is made more than 30 days before the start of the stay, the deposit paid is reduced by a 3% administration fee and is refunded. If the cancellation is made less than 15 days before the start of the stay, the full amount of the stay is deemed to have been paid to the owner. If the stay is shortened, the amount paid remains with the owner. No refunds will be given. The amount of the tourist tax is refunded regardless of the date of cancellation. Due to the context of the COVID 19 pandemic and insofar as the stay cannot be carried out due to governmental prohibitions (confinement, limitation of travel, obligatory fourteen days on return), the cancellation gives rise to the postponement of the stay to the dates that you choose. The paid amounts will be used to finance this new stay.

Your arrival :

Reception hours are between 5pm and 9pm (late check-in are possible).

In case of delay or late arrival, please inform us at (+33) 07 86 86 51 92 so that we can organize ourselves and welcome you in the best conditions. An independent arrival is also possible.


Upon arrival, we will guide you to your accommodation, which you can explore and inspect at your leisure. In the absence of dispute by the tenant within 12 hours, the inventory of fixtures and the inventory carried out by the owner and communicated to the tenant at his entry in the places will be considered accepted without reserve by the tenant.

An inventory of fixtures and the property will be established by the parties at the end of the rental period.

Capacity :

The reservation is made for a specific number of people. If the number of guests exceeds the capacity stated in the quotation/contract, the owner is able to refuse additional guests. This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or a break at the initiative of the owner, so that in case of departure of more clients than those refused, no refund can be considered. The flats are to be used only by the tenants. Therefore, any entry of outsiders must be formally approved by the owner.

Your departure :

On the day of departure, it is imperative to vacate the premises before 10am (unless otherwise previously agreed). An earlier departure is always possible if you inform us the day before.

Departure inventory :

On your departure, we will make a joint inventory of fixtures. If there is no inventory at the end of the rental or if the tenant establishes the inventory on his own at the end of the rental, the absence of contestation by the owner within 48 hours following the end of the rental will be considered as the return of the premises in good condition and/or complete inventory.

The accommodation must be returned in the same order as it was given to the tenant on arrival: furniture in its original position, dishes removed from the dishwasher and put away.

The accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy condition. The tenant has at his disposal all the cleaning equipment and cleaning materials provided for this purpose if necessary.

As hosts, we are committed to providing a cleaning service that complies with current sanitary procedures to ensure cleanliness. For his part, the tenant undertakes to take care of the accommodation and deal with its recyclable waste during his stay and to return the apartment in an orderly and clean condition.

Security deposit :

The deposit is returned on the day of your departure if the inventory of fixtures at the end of your stay does not reveal any damage, loss or insufficient cleaning. In the event of early departure (before the time mentioned in this document), the deposit will be returned within a period not exceeding 7 days, after deduction of any repair or redemption costs. Any loss or damage will be charged at new price and deducted from the security deposit.

Housekeeping :

Dishes must be clean and put away in their proper place; recyclable waste must be taken to the collection point: bin bags and sorting bags are available for the duration of your stay. There are dedicated recycling bins 300 meters away, near the station.

Pets :

We are unable to accommodate them, but there is a place dedicated to their holiday within a few minutes of the house.

Use of the premises :

Children in the premises are under the sole and complete responsibility of their parents. The clients and the persons accompanying them during their stay must respect the peaceful nature of the premises and use them in accordance with their purpose.

Holiday insurance :

Check with your insurance company if your comprehensive home insurance policy includes an extension for holiday rentals. If not, it is advisable to take out holiday insurance.

General information :

There is a non-smoking policy inside the premises ; ashtrays are available in the garden.

Rubbish and recycling bags are provided for the duration of your stay. There are dedicated recycling bins near the station.
