Gastronomy
In Colmar, we are gourmets and there is always an opportunity to taste a particular dish: we enjoy local specialties, including the famous sauerkraut and other dishes unpronounceable for those who were not born here (Fleischnackas, Flammenkuchen, Baekaoffe), accompanied naturally by Alsatian wine. We like to taste products from our Alsatian soil: locally grown fruits and vegetables, cheeses from the Vosges, etc. The city is full of good addresses for lovers of gastronomy, bistronomy, street-food and markets, not to mention local craft beers. Check out our suggestions for tasty or original restaurants and bistros.
Tea room
When autumn adorns the region with its shimmering colors and winter is fast approaching, there is nothing like the Alsatian tradition of "café gâteau" to comfort oneself in the most gourmet of ways. Alsatians love it and cafés/tea houses are springing up on every corner. Let us guide you to these warm and often unusual places that will delight you!
